Our Experience Is Your Advantage
You might be surprised to hear a yacht dealer say, “We won’t sell you a yacht.” But that’s the attitude here at Orange Coast Yachts. After all, the yacht is going to be yours—not ours. So we prefer listening and understanding your needs, which is how we assist you in the purchase of your new yacht. This approach has guided our success for more than 46 years. As one of the largest dealers of NEW luxury yachts, we offer an unmatched selection of 50 to 150′ yachts. We represent Horizon Yachts which are built in Taiwan and feature models from 56′ to 150′. Horizon is one of the largest big boat builders in the world and is the only Asian builder who is a member of Sybss the Super Yacht Association. Expert boaters ourselves, we offer clear advantages in helping you select and customize your dream yacht. And like the solid hulls beneath us, we’ve weathered every business climate imaginable. Beyond new yachts, we offer a large selection of brokerage yachts and a marketing program second to none. Our Brokers and Sales Staff
Jim started as a salesman with the company in 1970 and in 1982 purchased the company along with Tad Fujita. Jim has been the Broker/General Manager for the last 36 years. His client base features a majority of customers who have purchased multiple boats from him through the years. Jim and his family has cruised extensively though-out Mexico and the Pacific Northwest for over 46 years.
Morrie is a well know Yachtsman, growing up in Newport Beach and boating since age 3. He has been in boat sales for more than 20 years. Having raced and cruised extensively from Mexico to San Francisco and in the Pacific Northwest. He is past president of the California Yacht Brokers Association and past commodore of the Balboa Yacht Club and the Southern California Yachting Association.
Gene Harkins has traveled the country extensively. His love for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and his appreciation for Washington boating as well as his numerous boating and scuba diving vacations to the San Juan’s and Gulf Islands inspired his desire to make Seattle his home. So after years of living in the desert and a long career in radio advertising and radio station management, he made the decision to move to the Northwest. Boating soon became a passion for Gene and he has owned quite a few boats over the past sixteen years and have been cruising from Olympia to Alaska and many points between. As an avid boater, it was only natural that he gravitated to boat sales and eventually to Orange Coast Yachts as the newest general manager. As soon as you talk to Gene, his enthusiasm for boats and boaters becomes evident. Gene has been with Orange Coast Yachts for only a short time and sought his position with OCY specifically because of the company’s reputation for customer service and the relationship after the sale. Gene calls it, “selling with a boater’s perspective”. His customers agree that that he sees his job as not only selling boats, but in promoting a lifestyle and responsible boating that lasts a lifetime. He has helped many new boaters get started successfully and delights in seeing his customers grow to love his favorite pastime as much as he does. He has also helped existing boaters move up to a level of boating they had not previously experienced. Orange Coast Yacht’s team attitude, desire to help the customer and to be more than just another boat dealer has been just the kind of atmosphere that he envisioned when he started in boat sales.
